The qualification is a holistic introduction to Wealth Management and Wealth Creation. It enables representatives to understand the Wealth Management environment, the legislative requirements and product-related information. The qualification is aimed at candidates with less than two years’ experience, new comers to the financial services industry, or those with experience, but would like to improve on their knowledge and obtain a full FSCA recognised qualification. Programs covered in this qualification, provide representatives with more options to comply with the requirements of the FAIS Act, General Code of Conduct and Board Notice 194 of 2017.

WHAT WILL THE QUALIFICATION ENABLE THE CANDIDATE TO DO?          

Furnish advice and act as an intermediary on Long-term Category A products (assistance policies and funeral policies), Long-term B1, B2 and C

Furnish advice and act as an intermediary on risk policies and guaranteed investments and savings, recurring policies and annuities other than single premium annuities.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?         

Candidates who require employment or candidates mandated to furnish advise on funeral plans, friendly society benefits, risk policies, long-term B1, B2 and C as well as guaranteed investments. Candidates with a matric with mathematics first and second language

FURTHER EDUCATION AND TRAINING CERTIFICATE: SHORT TERM INSURANCE

This full FSCA recognised qualification covers short-term related learning and provides a framework for candidates to develop competencies that will give insight into the short-term insurance subsector. It introduces a basic understanding of the key terms, rules, concepts and principles of the fields that will prepare the candidates for the short term financial services industry. Programs covered in this qualification, provide representatives with more options to comply with the requirements of the FAIS Act, General Code of Conduct and Board Notice 194 of 2017.

 

 

WHAT WILL THE QUALIFICATION ENABLE THE CANDIDATE TO DO?          

Furnish advice and act as intermediaries on Short Term Commercial or Personal line products.

Carry out basic research, gathering and analysis of information and present findings to beneficiaries of the financial service. Furnish advice in terms of current determination of the fit and proper requirements for financial services providers as governed by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority.

Use knowledge gained about ethical behavior in a financial services work environment as well as managing personal finance and tax related issues.

 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Candidates employed in the short-term insurance industry and who furnish advice on personal lines and or commercial business lines or new entrants aspiring to become representatives.

It enables advisors and intermediaries to understand the retail insurance environment, the legislative requirements and covers long-term and short-term related learning. WHAT WILL THE QUALIFICATION ENABLE YOU TO DO?

Candidates who require qualifications in retail outlets such as travel agents, telemarketing, finance and insurance agents in the motor dealer markets, credit card insurance, sectional title schemes, estate agents and retail outlets.

It enables advisors and intermediaries to understand the long-term insurance environment and legislative requirements. Our qualification is aimed at candidates with less than two years’ experience and new-entrants to the industry. Programs covered in this qualification, provide representatives with more options to comply with the requirements of the FAIS Act, General Code of Conduct and Board Notice 194 of 2017.

 

WHAT WILL THE QUALIFICATION ENABLE THE CANDIDATE TO DO?          

Furnish advice and act as an intermediary on Long-term Category A products (friendly society benefits and funeral benefits) as well as Long-term B1, B2 and C. Furnish advice and act as an intermediary Category I subcategories 1.1 – 1.26 as well as being approved as a key individual.

 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?         

Candidates who require a qualification for Category I and all sub categories ranging from 1.1 – 1.26 or are employed as administrators, consultants, call center staff and broker consultants.
